OUR BLUEBERRY VARIETIES

  • Northblue

This half-high early-mid season variety produces juicy fruit with a “wild” taste and is excellent for baking or fresh eating. It was first introduced by the University of Minnesota in 1983, with great resistance to winter damage.

  • Polaris

A University of Minnesota half-high early season variety released in 1996. The Polaris Blueberry is one of the darkest varieties of blueberries, producing very aromatic fruit with excellent flavor that is delicious in pies, tarts, jams, or muffins.

  • Patriot

Developed at the University of Maine in 1976, this variety is big and bountiful — the largest early-season blueberry. The fruit has an outstanding flavor fresh, baked, and in preserves. Freezes well too!

  • Bluecrop

Produces big clusters of large, all-purpose berries — perfect in salads or pies, or served with ice cream. This mid season variety of blueberry has been the most popular bush in the United States and all over the world.

  • Blueray

These are some of the largest, sweetest berries out there. It was developed by Michigan State University in the late 1970s. These blueberries are firm with a very sweet, high quality flavor, perfect for desserts!

  • Superior

Introduced by the University of Minnesota in 2009, this Northern Highbush variety was specially bred to offer up loads of delightfully sweet berries in colder climates. Superior flowers later than most other blueberries, protecting it from late frosts and making it a reliable late-season producer. Berries are lower in acidity than many of its peers with a balanced flavor and delicate sweetness. It is wonderful in baked goods or cooked into sauces.

  • Chandler

This attractive plant produces large, sweet and juicy berries that are delicious fresh — a perfect complement to your breakfast. Also suitable for baking. This mid to late season variety was introduced in 1995.

  • Bonus

This mid-late cultivar was named for its very large sized fruit and consistent, high yields. The extra-large, firm, juicy, bright blue berries are very sweet. It is known for generating the largest blueberries on the market today!
